Samsung Galaxy Book: Noble office notebook at a low price

The Samsung Galaxy Book at a glance

With the Galaxy Book, Samsung presents an inexpensive all-rounder that leaves a very chic and high-quality impression with its aluminum body. The overall appearance of the keyboard falls off a bit because it looks like cheap plastic – and it doesn’t offer a particularly good typing experience either.

Our test device works with an Intel Core i3, has 256 GB of SSD storage and 8 GB of RAM. Although this is not a machine with which you can play demanding games or cut extensive 4K videos, the Galaxy Book is adequately equipped for normal office use, i.e. for surfing, writing and for minimal image editing. If the power is not enough for you, Samsung can get additional configurations – but they also cost more.

We like the display in the test, because it is nice and bright, does not reflect and also has very stable viewing angles. The battery, on the other hand, leaves a mixed picture: The device lasts for a good 10 to 12 hours when surfing and watching videos, but the Galaxy Book dies after around four hours under load.

Our conclusion at the time of the test

In the test, the Samsung Galaxy Book (NP750XDA-KD3DE) impresses with its high-quality and stable aluminum housing. We think the connections are suitable for everyday use – for example, there are four USB connections. In addition to the great case, there are limitations with the keyboard: We were not impressed by its haptics. Our impression of the fan noise and box sound has its ups and downs, as well as the battery life. Considering the price, the display offers decent measurements.“Read the full review.
