Smart rings are not entirely new. Manufacturers have been working on such gadgets for a long time, but mostly still limited to an NFC connection. Apparently Samsung is also working on such a product – with a focus on health tracking. A corresponding patent for the Galaxy Ring appeared in 2015.

What do we know about Samsung’s next smartwatch?

With the Pixel Watch, Samsung has received strong competition. The answer to this will most likely be Galaxy Watch 6. We summarize what is known about the smartwatch so far.

According to Gizmochina, new clues have now surfaced in the Samsung Health beta app. Here, a Reddit user discovered “Ring Support” in the function list. It is not known whether this really means the Galaxy Ring, but the app may also support third-party products such as the Oura Ring.

The Galaxy Ring could be rumored to come with various health sensors and get features similar to the Galaxy Watch. However, the ring will probably not compete with the smartwatch, Samsung will certainly integrate additional functions here.
