The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G was convincing in the test – and placed ahead of the standard edition in the list of the best. At the market launch, however, the prices were still outrageously high, but the model is now available at an interesting price.
The S21 FE can score in pretty much every category: the display delivers a great picture, the camera takes first-class photos and the performance is among the best you can currently get in the Android sector. Only the battery performance drops slightly here, because despite a decent capacity of 4,500 mAh, it’s over after 11:35 hours. This is not a bad value, but you can see that the Snapdragon 888 used is not as energy-efficient as the Exynos chip in the standard model.
Our verdict at the time of testing
“The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G scores in our test with excellent performance in almost all categories – only the battery life does not quite correspond to a flagship smartphone. Still, it places just ahead of the regular Galaxy S21 5G. The display is bright and colorful, and there’s a smooth refresh rate of up to 120 hertz. The equipment contains all the essentials and the camera also does a very good job. However, the smartphone has a proud introductory price of around 820 euros and the next generation of Samsung flagships is in the starting blocks with the Galaxy S22 series. The Galaxy S21 FE 5G will soon have strong competition from its own company.“
