We won’t have to wait long for Samsung to present the Galaxy S22. The South Koreans have announced an unpacked event for February 9th. It is assumed that the new flagship smartphone will be officially presented there for the first time. The cell phone will most likely appear in the versions S22, S22 Plus and S22 Ultra.
It will probably be a while before those interested can hold the device in their hands. Rumor has it that the presale will start on February 24th. Because of the persistent lack of chips, experts also assume that the demand cannot be fully met, at least at the beginning. You have to reckon with delivery times of several weeks, possibly even months.
Samsung Galaxy S22: This is expected from the display
As “WinFuture” reports, the screen on all three models is expected to have a refresh rate of 120 Hertz again. The S22 has a diagonal of 6.1 inches, the S22 Plus 6.6 inches. Both models should have a resolution of 2,340 by 1,080 pixels. The S22 Ultra is probably a bit bigger. The display is said to be 6.8 inches and have a resolution of 3,080 by 1,440 pixels.
The screens would tend to be slightly smaller than in the previous models. All models probably use AMOLED technology. The displays are also said to be very bright – 1,500 nits on the S22 and 1,750 nits on the two larger models.

Samsung Galaxy S22: This is what we expect from the camera
The S22 and S22 Plus will probably have the same main and front cameras installed. There is a triple camera on the back. The main lens has 50 megapixels (85°, f/1.8, 23mm, 1/1.56″, 1.0 µm, OIS, 2PD). There is also a twelve megapixel ultra wide-angle lens (120°, f/2.2, 13mm, 1 /2.55″, 1.4 µm) and a ten megapixel telephoto lens (36°, f/2.4, 69mm, 1/3.94″, 1.0 µm, OIS). The front camera is also equipped with ten megapixels (f/2.2, 80°, 25mm, 1/3.24″, 1.22 µm, 2PD).
The S22 Ultra will probably be a number better equipped. According to reports, there is a quadruple camera on the back. The main camera even has 108 megapixels (85°, f/1.8, 2PD, OIS). The ultra-wide-angle camera, with its twelve megapixels (120°, f/2.2, 13mm, 1/2.55″, 1.4 µm, 2PD, AF), is very similar to that of the other two models. The big difference now lies in the telephoto lens. The S22 Ultra has here namely two. Both have 10 megapixels, but differ in the details (36°, f/2.4, 69mm, 1/3.52″, 1.12 µm, 2PD, OIS / 11°, f/4.9, 230mm, 1/3.52″ , 1.12 µm, 2PD, OIS). The front camera uses a 40 megapixel lens (f/2.2, 80°, 25mm, 1/2.8″, 0.7 µm, AF).
Processor and performance in the Samsung Galaxy S22
Under the hood, we’re expecting a proprietary Exynos 2200 octa-core processor in all models in the European market. An AMD RDNA 2 chip should also ensure the best graphics.
The S22 and the S22 Plus will probably get 8 gigabytes of RAM and an internal memory of either 128 or 256 gigabytes. With the S22 Ultra, only the 128 gigabyte version has 8 gigabytes of RAM. In the versions with 256 or 512 gigabytes, even 12 gigabytes of RAM are installed.
The battery of the S22 should have a capacity of 3,700 mAh. 4,500 are expected for the S22 Plus and even 5,000 for the S22 Ultra.
Galaxy S22: colors and price
All versions are expected to be available in Phantom Black, White, and Green colors. The S22 and S22 Plus will also have pink gold, and the S22 Ultra will have burgundy.
The price of the S22 should be 849 or 899 euros, depending on the memory size. The S22 Plus costs 1,049 or 1,099 euros. And the S22 Ultra costs 1,249, 1,349 or 1,449 euros.
