Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra: in addition to taking over the S Pen, it could improve it

The Galaxy S22 Ultra should take over the S Pen, in the absence of Galaxy Note in 2021. But it would not be satisfied with a simple recovery.

Samsung has just unveiled its Galaxy S21 FE, completing a 2021 year without news of the permanently scrapped Note range. It now belongs to the series of Samsung Galaxy S22 expected for the start of the year, to take over some of the strengths of the Note range.

Starting with the S Pen. While it can be used by the Galaxy Z Fold 3, it is not certain that all Samsung buyers are prepared to pay the price for such a device, or to switch to folding, especially under this very particular form.

Three times faster S Pen

We therefore expect that it is the S22 Ultra more precisely which takes up the torch of the S Pen. According to Zaryab Khan, the youtuber behind the XEETECHCARE channel (via XDA) the next premium smartphone from the Korean giant would not be content to take back the S Pen. It would also make it a lot faster.

On the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra, the sample rate, i.e. the time between when you write something and when the plot appears on the screen would be approximately 9 ms. The Galaxy S22 Ultra would bring this delay to 2.8 milliseconds.

12-bit HDR support

As a reminder, it is expected that the style can be stored directly in the phone shell, like what the Note 20 offered.

The youtubeur adds that the S22 Ultra would have a 108 megapixel main sensor with 12-bit HDR support. It also reaffirms that the cheapest version of the premium phone will only ship 8 GB of RAM as well as a 45 W wired charge.
