Competition is intensifying in the folding smartphone market, and more particularly among flip models. Samsung, however, does not seem ready to lower the bill with its future Galaxy Z Flip 6 in order to attract more consumers.
On June 23, 2024, SamInsider indeed shared the prices of this new generation, well above the Galaxy Z Flip 5. The media precisely discovered the prices of the device at a German reseller: €1,339.99 for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 with 256 GB of storage and €1,466.99 for the 512 GB version.
In other words, we would be facing a price increase of respectively 19.66% (+140 euros) and 11.37% (+147 euros). According to SmartPrix, the United States would have on its side a $100 increase compared to the price of the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
For information, three big new features should be introduced by the Galaxy Z Flip 6: a 4,000 mAh battery, compared to 3,700 mAh on the Z Flip 5; a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, faster and less energy-consuming than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2; and an improved main sensor (50 Mpx instead of 12 Mpx).
An updated design and Galaxy AI would also be included, as would software support extended to seven years (as with the Galaxy S24).
