Non-fungible tokens are reaching the mass media. Like electronics giant Samsung in one Press release announces, NFTs can be called up and purchased as standard in the new Smart TVs.
In 2022, Samsung Smart TVs will be expanded to include a “Smart Hub” that personalizes user content. In addition to a gaming hub, which allows access to game streaming services, and a chat function, NFTs are also part of the new equipment. The integrated NFT platform offers “an intuitive, integrated platform for discovering, buying and trading digital works of art via MICRO LED, Neo QLED and The Frame”. This makes Samsung the first electronics company to integrate NFTs into televisions.
