Samsung is rolling out its Expert Raw app to more Galaxy smartphones

tend more and more towards high-end photographic tools. Naturally, several phones now allow you to save files in RAW, the format favored by photography experts. The objective, to obtain the best possible image quality, to the detriment of the size of the file.

Unfortunately, the native applications of the devices do not allow in-depth management of this format. Enter Samsung and its dedicated application, Expert RAW, which will arrive on more smartphones.

The Expert RAW app is coming to more smartphones

Expert RAW is coming to more Samsung smartphones. The application dedicated to managing the photo format was only available so far on two of the flagships flagships of the manufacturer: the Galaxy S21 Ultra and the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The South Korean company will, however, extend support for Expert RAW to more models, without specifying which ones.

On its official forum, Samsung indicates that the new smartphones that will be able to accommodate its application designed for photo enthusiasts will be detailed shortly before its launch on February 25. We can nevertheless assume that these will be high-end smartphones with very good photo sensors, like the rest of the Galaxy 22 range or the Galaxy S21 Plus. The Expert RAW application allows, among other things, a more in-depth management of settings such as white balance, shutter speed, exposure as well as the possibility of saving each shot in both RAW and JPEG format.

There are many reasons to look for a camera app on your Android device. If your smartphone’s native photo app isn’t suitable, either because you want to take your photo practice further by having access to manual settings or because it lacks creative features, it’s makes it possible to change dairy. And nothing beats a trip to your favorite app store to see the dizzying array of apps dedicated to shooting.
