The South Korean giant is now formalizing its four new entry-level and mid-range smartphones with a more homogeneous premium design inherited from the Galaxy S23. We are obviously talking about the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G, A34 5G, A14 5G and A14 4G, the new iterations of the manufacturer’s low-cost bestsellers.

Visually successful, these new Samsung models offer a homogenized design for the Galaxy A range with rounded edges and well-integrated photographic sensors on the back of the devices, and unsurprisingly, they promise great autonomy of up to 2 days.

The technical sheets of the Samsung A54, A34 and A14

With a glass back, the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G is the most premium model in the manufacturer’s A range. It is powered by an Exynos 1380 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM. Its storage memory of 128 or 256 GB, depending on the configuration chosen, can be extended up to 1 TB thanks to a microSD. Its screen is equipped with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED panel, with a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.

Featuring the same brightness and frequency characteristics, the screen of the Samsung Galaxy A34 5G stretches to a diagonal of 6.6 inches while the smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC coupled with 6 or 8 GB of RAM, depending on the chosen configuration. Likewise, its storage memory can be configured with an option of 128 GB and another with 256 GB of memory space.

More affordable, the Samsung Galaxy A14 has a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD screen clocked at 90 Hz in its 5G version or at 60 Hz in the 4G version of the entry-level smartphone from the South Korean giant. Likewise, it is not the same chip that powers the model. Thus, for the Galaxy A14 5G, it is a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC coupled with 4 GB of RAM. Its storage memory can be configured with 64 or 128 GB of internal space.

As for the Galaxy A14 4G, it features a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC and a unique configuration of 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage memory. Finally, note that all smartphones in the Galaxy A range are equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery charged at 25 W which promises two days of autonomy for each of these models.

A versatile photo offering with powerful editing tools

The entire Galaxy A range from Samsung has a main sensor of 50 megapixels. Obviously, the A54 and A34 models stand out by offering more advanced tools to obtain the sharpest shots possible. Thus, both models offer a Night mode using pixel-binning to merge several pixels into one, which allows more light to be captured and a clearer and more detailed result to be obtained.

Of course, the user will be able to count on an advanced artificial intelligence whose work will make it possible to obtain sharper shots, with reworked colors and contrasts, especially in low light conditions. Both smartphones are equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS) coupled with digital stabilization to create sharper videos, especially when the user is in motion.

And of course, Samsung Galaxy A54 5G and A34 5G are equipped with powerful editing tools to remove unwanted objects, shadows or reflections from captured photos.

Price and availability

These smartphones are available from this Wednesday, March 15. They ship with Android 13 and will receive up to four years of Android updates and five years of security updates. As for security, they embed Samsung’s Security and Privacy dashboard to control what data apps have access to and stop collecting it.

The same goes for the Samsung Private Share feature, which offers to share files with a high level of confidentiality. We thus find an access restriction to only designated recipients, an access time limit and the blocking of screenshots.
