Only the best of the best: Samsung apparently does not make any compromises with its new folding cell phones. A reliable insider has now revealed which processor should be installed in the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. Buyers of the two smartphones will not have to worry about performance.
Only a few months separate us from the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. The predecessors were presented at the beginning of August 2021, and Samsung is likely to present its latest generation of folding cell phones at a similar time. However, the first information about the installed hardware has already come to light – and it sounds good.
Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 get Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus
As well as Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are said to be based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus. This was revealed by the well-known insider Ice Universe on Twitter, who is known for his good contacts in Samsung’s supply chains. The new Qualcomm chip is not yet official, it should be presented this month at the earliest. According to reports, the plus version of the Snapdragon Gen 1 should also do its work in Oppo’s latest folding smartphone.
If that turns out to be true, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 am at the top end of the performance scale. 3D games, resource-hungry productive apps or multitasking with multiple applications: none of this would be a problem for the new foldable Samsung smartphones.

According to the latest information, Samsung is considering a significant price reduction in order to make the Galaxy Z Flip 4 particularly attractive for the mass market. The Galaxy Z Fold 4, on the other hand, is supposed to be a real flagship camera and be able to take particularly good-looking pictures. However, buyers will probably have to do without a slot for inserting the S Pen.
