Some users had indeed noted, on the Galaxy S23 Ultra, small defects concerning optical stabilization.
In the course of deployment therefore, the update announced by Samsung attempts to correct various bugs. The brand promises to have limited the blurring effects visible during photo capture with OIS, removed the “green band” phenomenon that sometimes appears on the screen during image capture, and improved stabilization during video capture by Full HD at 60 fps, when automatic FPS adjustment is disabled. A bug resulting in the malfunction of facial recognition on smartphones after video calls with third-party applications has been rectified, assures the manufacturer, as well as a problem affecting photo capture in low light, except night mode.
Samsung also indicates that it has improved the quality of ultra-wide-angle video capture, and authorizes photo triggering even when the autofocus has not finished focusing, to allow rapid capture of pictures; this option can be disabled in the settings, assures the Korean.
Finally, we note that the update makes it possible to delete images in the gallery even when they are being processed, to speed up handling.
All of these improvements demonstrate Samsung’s willingness to listen to users.
