The Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 G95SC monitor houses a 49-inch QD-Oled panel in 32:9 format. This curved panel with a radius of 1.8 m (1800R) displays a definition of 5120 x 1440 pixels. The manufacturer announces a peak brightness of 1000 cd / m², VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification and a response time of only 0.03 ms thanks to Oled technology. The maximum SDR brightness is 250 cd/m² and the viewing angles are very wide (178°).
Unlike 34-inch QD-Oled monitors that support a native frequency of 175 Hz (for example, the Philips Evnia 34M2C8600 that we tested earlier this year), this Samsung QD-Oled monitor supports a frequency of 240 Hz. is AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and AdaptiveSync compatible, but it is not G-Sync certified.

Connectivity with a Micro-HDMI port, which we had not seen for a long time.
In terms of connectivity, there is a DisplayPort 1.4 input, an HDMI 2.1, a Micro-HDMI port, a headphone output and two USB 3.2 ports. The monitor also features two 5 W speakers. The ergonomics are complete with height adjustment, tilt and even rotation management. Of course, the user benefits from a Core Lightning RGB lighting system on the back of the monitor.
The Samsung 49″ Odyssey OLED G95SC DQHD Neo Quantum Processor Pro monitor, sold more simply (or not) under the reference LS49CG954S, is currently on pre-order in the United States for $2,199 (excl. VAT). Delivery is scheduled for June 30. In Europe, this monitor will be available during the third quarter – probably at the start of the school year – for a price of around 2200 €.
Asus and MSI have also announced 49-inch QD-Oled monitors, but they aren’t expected to be available until late 2023.
