Samuel L. Jackson: "Go Voting As If Your Life Depends On It"

Numerous stars have already called on US citizens to vote. Few have been as clear as Samuel L. Jackson.

With Samuel L. Jackson (71, "The Hateful Eight"), another Holllywood star has now clearly known for Donald Trump's (74) challenger Joe Biden (77) in the upcoming US presidential election. Many of his colleagues have already called on US citizens to vote and cast their votes for Biden. Few have done it so clearly before.

Still "dirty tricks"

Jackson can be seen in a new, official commercial for Joe Biden, which according to US media will also be on TV and radio. "If your voice wasn't important, he wouldn't try so hard to take it from you," says the actor – and of course he talks about Trump. "Vote early and vote as if your life depends on it," Jackson continues to urge his fellow citizens. He also goes into the so-called "voter suppression". These are different tactics that are intended to make it more difficult for individual population groups – which often include minorities, the poor or young voters – to cast their votes.

While it was "a new day", the same "dirty tricks" as in the past were still being used to deter people from voting. Jackson states that he will definitely cast his vote – and that everyone should do so. "Not because I want to, but because (Donald Trump) doesn't want it. (…) Damn it, vote!"
