I know that you don’t care much about birthdays. Nevertheless, I can’t help but congratulate you on your round cradle celebration. Where do you find a boss like you? Meteorologically extremely competent, always in good shape, but still always warm to the whole team.
We have been working together for almost 20 years. I still remember the day you introduced me to the press. You gave me the wrong first name, and that happened to you a lot later. We even set up a piglet that we each tossed a coin into if you didn’t call me by my real name.
You always have a thousand things on your mind. We laugh about it now. What I appreciate most about you: You give me the freedom to moderate. At «Meteo» we always bring this delicacy to the end. Then I often bring something from the bird world, mention a farmer’s rule or sometimes talk about cows. As an exact scientist you would never do that, but you let me have it.
And then there was my mistake. I started moderating again after the birth of my second son, and I was a little excited because I wanted to do particularly well on the first night. I didn’t notice that the camera was already running and just said: «Blah, blah, blah …» After that, I was jittery about your reaction. But you just said: “It can happen. You coped well. “
Something is particularly close to my heart. When I was sick, I said to you: this is going to be a long story and I don’t know how it will end. And you replied: “We’re not even talking about the outcome. You come back. And we are waiting for you! ” That’s the nicest sign a boss can give you.
After weeks of changeable westerly winds, it should be warmer for your birthday party. It looks like a barbecue with your family. Enjoy it and I am looking forward to railing against you for a long time.
