He was the love of her life, now Sandra Bullock’s partner is dead. Bryan Randall died at the age of 57 from the nervous disease ALS.

Oscar winner Sandra Bullock (59) mourns the “love of her life”. Her longtime partner Bryan Randall has lost his battle with the insidious disease ALS at the age of 57. Randall died over the weekend, his family said in a statement to People magazine on Monday.

“It is with great sadness that we announce that Bryan Randall passed away peacefully on August 5 after a three-year battle with ALS,” it said. He decided early on not to make his devastating diagnosis, which he received about three years ago, public. The family continues to write that those who took care of him did their best to fulfill his request. One is infinitely grateful to the “tireless doctors and the amazing nurses”. They had become roommates who often neglected their own families.

The public is now being asked for privacy to mourn and say a proper goodbye to Bryan. The notice was signed with the inscription “His loving family”.

Sandra Bullock adopted a daughter with Bryan Randall

Sandra Bullock met her partner in 2015 at her son Louis’ (13) birthday party. There he worked as a photographer. In addition, Randall was also active as a model. The two adopted their daughter Laila (10) the year they met. Bullock was previously married to TV presenter Jesse James (54) from 2005 to 2010. From this marriage, Bullock has her adopted son, Louis. Randall himself brought another daughter into the relationship with the US actress.

On the “Red Table Talk” roundtable in December 2021, Bullock gave a rare glimpse into their relationship: “I’ve found the love of my life.” Her family is “the best thing ever”. Regarding a possible marriage, Bullock explained in the same conversation that she doesn’t need “paper” to be a devoted partner and mother: “I don’t need to be told that I have to be present in the most difficult times.” She described Randall as “a saint” and “the example I want to set for my children”. As is now known, Randall was apparently already ill at the time.

This is what is meant by ALS

ALS, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is an incurable, constantly progressing disease of the motor nervous system, which ultimately leads to complete muscle paralysis. In the vast majority of cases, ALS leads to death within a few years. Medications can only delay the process a little.
