Sarafina Wollny has been the proud mother of twins for a good five weeks. Husband Peter is also overjoyed – although unfortunately he was unable to attend the birth.

Sarafina Wollny’s twins, 26, and spouse Peter are now five weeks old. The two boys saw the light of day on May 18, 2021 – over two months early. The actual due date would have been July 23, as Sarafina now revealed in a question-and-answer session on Instagram. The 26-year-old also reveals new details about the birth and the dramatic process. Her husband Peter couldn’t be there at the crucial moment.

Sarafina Wollny’s twins came by emergency caesarean section

“Last night there were complications and the twins had to be brought in by caesarean section in the 30th week. Currently, the 3s are doing according to the circumstances [sic]”, described Sarafina’s mother Silvia Wollny, 56, the events at the time. Because pregnancy poisoning was suspected, Sarafina surprisingly had to be brought to the hospital prematurely. This can be life-threatening for both the mother-to-be and the unborn children, which is why the doctors themselves decided for an emergency caesarean section.

When can the babies go home?

Apparently there wasn’t even time that Peter could get to his wife in time. Because when a user asks whether her husband was present at the birth, Sarafina replies: “Unfortunately not, because it was an emergency caesarean section. It was also a general anesthetic. Everything had to go very quickly.”

But the main thing is that the little family is doing well after the birth drama and, above all, the little twins are doing well. Emory and Casey, as the boys are called, are still allowed to go home. “The two still need time,” writes Sarafina. And the little ones should definitely get this time.
