You can’t say that Sarah Ferguson isn’t busy. The Duchess of York is not resting on her close ties to the British royal family. She is a doer, has earned a considerable amount of money in recent years, especially by writing historical romance novels, and now even seems to have serious TV ambitions.
Sarah Ferguson is being courted by TV bosses
A few days ago it was reported that Sarah was already in talks with the station bosses. It was said that she had attracted the attention of top management through her appearance on the talk show “Loose Women”. She recently spoke openly on the show about her breast cancer and its consequences. “The Duchess was a real hit with ITV bosses on ‘Loose Women’, everyone thought she was a natural. There is an open invitation for her to return to ‘Loose Women’ and there are also talks about her a guest appearance on ‘This Morning’ or a mini-series for her,” a source told the Mirror.
Fergie loves the camera – and vice versa
Now it’s official: Sarah Ferguson will be in front of the camera for the first time as the new guest presenter for “This Morning” on Monday, November 20, 2023. “I’ve appeared on This Morning before but this time I’m coming back in a very different role. I love live television and am a huge fan of the show and the whole team are always really lovely,” says Fergie about her new job and emphasizes: “I’m looking forward to being there all morning and am thrilled that as a guest editor I can cover some topics that are very close to my heart.”
Martin Frizell, editor-in-chief of This Morning, is also thrilled with his latest coup: “We’re all delighted that Sarah, the Duchess of York, wanted to come back here and I’m very pleased that she reflected on some of my decisions on Monday “She has a great understanding of the show and how television works, and I think viewers will be very interested in the order she puts together.”
Fergie was a guest on This Morning in March. At that point she already impressed the then presenter Holly Willougby, 42, who immediately offered her a return to her side. Sarah could accept phone calls from viewers about love. A popular section of the format. But the royal didn’t let herself be pinned down straight away, but still seemed enthusiastic and explained: “Holly, I’d like to do that, maybe when you’re back from your annual leave and the Easter holidays! But there’s no question, this is exactly the right topic. We love it love.”
