Sarah Harding: Girls Aloud singer in therapy for cancer

"There's no easy way to say this": British dancer and singer Sarah Harding has breast cancer.

Sarah Harding (38), who became known as part of the British girl group Girls Aloud ("Something New"), is seriously ill. The singer and dancer apparently suffers from a very aggressive form of breast cancer, as she has confirmed on Instagram.

Harding posted a picture of a hospital bed. "There is no easy way to say this (…)", she writes. She was diagnosed with breast cancer some time ago, "and a few weeks ago I received the devastating news that the cancer had spread to other parts of my body." The 38-year-old is currently undergoing chemotherapy and is "fighting as hard" as she can.

Support from family

The singer doesn't want to shock her fans with this bad news, but she feels that now is the time to share her diagnosis with the public. Harding is doing her best to stay positive. In the future, she wants to keep her fans up to date with regular updates about her illness.

Last but not least, she would like to thank her "incredible mom, family and close friends" for helping her get through this. She also thanked the doctors and nurses as well as her fans, who had asked about the singer's well-being because she had not contacted Instagram for a long time.
