"I'm almost done now and this week my mom and I went through old photos to choose which ones to take." She showed one of them in the post.

On August 26, the singer announced her illness on Instagram after a long absence. Harding also posted a picture of himself from a hospital bed. "There is no easy way to say this (…)" she wrote. She was diagnosed with breast cancer some time ago, "and a few weeks ago I received the devastating news that the cancer had spread to other parts of my body." Back then, she went through "weekly chemotherapy sessions" – "I fight as hard as I can," Harding said.
