Touching gesture: she names her baby after her deceased brother

At the end of January, Saskia Atzerodt announced good news: she and her partner are expecting their first child, a little boy. The name for the bundle of joy has already been decided – and it has a very special meaning for her.
“I still can’t believe it. I’m pregnant,” Saskia Atzerodt, 29, told her followers on January 24, 2022 via Instagram. She also published the first baby bump photos. The former “Bachelor” candidate also directly announced the gender of her first child with her boyfriend: “We’re having a boy”. Now she is answering her fans about her pregnancy.
Saskia Atzerodt reveals details about the birth
The couple lives in Bielefeld and “definitely” wants to get married, reveals Saskia during the question and answer session in her Instagram story. The 29-year-old, who is currently working as a tax clerk, has also given some thought to childbirth. Of course she would like to give birth “if it’s possible”, but I “really respect it”.
The little boy’s name has already been decided. When asked by a user whether her child will have a middle name, Saskia makes a touching revelation: “Yes, our little one will be named like my deceased brother [sic].”

Saskia’s brother Nico passed away at the end of 2016 at the age of just 26. “I’m shocked and incredibly sad,” she said to “Bild” at the time. “As children we did almost everything together, Nico was an important person for me.”
The “Bachelor” participant had to cope with two miscarriages
For Saskia Atzerodt and her partner, with whom she has been in a relationship since last year, it is the first child together. In 2021, she became pregnant unplanned, but lost the baby at the ninth week. In October 2020 she had already had to cope with a miscarriage, which even led to her separation from her partner at the time.
Now the TV beauty is looking positively into the future again and is looking forward to the birth of her son. Whether he should have a sibling, she keeps it open. “First of all, bring our little ones into the world healthy and lively and then we’ll see [sic]”, she explains.
