Charging blocks with four USB outputs are very practical, but they can sometimes be a little light in charging power, especially at a time of the advent of fast charging on smartphones.

This is why several manufacturers like Anker are starting to offer blocks targeting 120 W.

Four devices in fast charge

Satochi is about to release a charger displaying 165W. It is based on Gallium Nitride technology which allows it to charge up to four devices at a time and it is compatible with the Power Delivery standard.

In detail, with such a charger, you will be able to send 100W in a single device and 60W in a second, or twice 60W and 45W in a third device. Another configuration blown by the manufacturer: 100W + 30W + 30W. And of course, with four devices, you will be able to achieve 60W + 45W + 30W + 30W.

For example, we can imagine connecting a laptop PC, a tablet and two smartphones.

Note that USB-C cables are not included in the box and that the charger can be plugged into a wall outlet with a cable, which can be handy rather than having to leave it attached to its outlet. And it never hurts, the charger even comes with a small cradle to accommodate it.

How much does it cost

Satechi’s 165W charger costs $ 119.99 and will be available in the US from January 14. A release in Europe is planned, as indicated on the manufacturer’s website.
