It's casual, practical and not obsessed with details. In short: feeling good in what you wear is the be-all and end-all of the Scandi look.

Many trends from the far north are also making the rounds in Germany: In addition to a cozy and relaxed look at the little things in life – "hygge" for short – the fashion style there also finds its way into our wardrobes. The Fashion Weeks in Stockholm and Copenhagen presented strong designer line-ups whose looks make you want more.

But what exactly is the Scandi look? It's casual, practical and not overly detailed. In keeping with this, the designers in Copenhagen presented puffer jackets with thick stand-up collars and pocket applications according to the motto: It has to be warm and stylish! Of course, the XL models are somewhat bulky, but if you combine them with narrow-cut trousers and boots, the buffers definitely have trend potential and keep you warm even on cooler days.

Warm earth tones complete the Scandi look

The clean look from Beckmans College of Design at Stockholm Fashion Week is completely different. The designers put the models in white and gray shirt dresses that caught the eye with a striking skirt cut. Individual stripe applications were reminiscent of the typical Scandi style. They also combined tough lace-up boots – a perfect combination for the first days of spring.

What was evident at both fashion weeks: brown – yes, brown – is on the rise. Warm earth tones were particularly evident in outerwear, be it in floor-length trench coats and woolen coats, as well as oversize blouses. The muted and unexcited tones make the Scandi look perfect – simply hygge!
