Shocking revelation for Scarlett Johansson (39) live on US television: Her husband Colin Jost (41) reveals that he can only endure her films when he is drunk. Fortunately, this confession is not really meant seriously. It’s a gag in the cult comedy show “Saturday Night Life”, whose ensemble Jost is part of.
This is how the joke came about: Colin Jost and his colleague Michael Che (40) lead through the news segment of “Saturday Night Live”. There is a running gag. The two write down gags for each other, which the other then has to read and recite during the live show. Same this weekend.

“In New York State, it is now legal to serve alcohol in movie theaters,” the text begins. “And so I can finally enjoy my wife’s little art films,” it continues. The gag obviously refers to Scarlett Johansson’s penchant for repeatedly inserting sophisticated but less noticed works alongside her blockbusters like “Black Widow.” Examples include “Under the Skin” (2013) or “Marriage Story” (2019). “Just kidding, darling. I love all your movies,” Colin Jost explained after having to read the sentence.
Colin Jost and Scarlett Johansson have been a couple since 2017. But they met on “Saturday Night Live” in 2006. When the actress first guest-hosted the show, Jost was in his first year as a writer.
The couple married in 2020 and their son Cosmo was born in August 2021. Johansson also has a daughter from her first marriage to Romain Dauriac (41).
