Ute Freudenberg suffers from Parkinson’s disease

Actually, pop singer Ute Freudenberg, 66, who has been on stage for 50 years, is always beaming. But in 2018 she had to deal with a difficult diagnosis, which she spoke about for the first time on February 18 on the MDR talk show “Riverboat Leipzig”: her Parkinson’s disease.

“Suddenly I couldn’t write any more autographs,” says Ute Freudenberg and continues: “A nuclear medicine head screening was then carried out in Marburg and the diagnosis was made.” The first symptoms are noticeable on the left arm of the popular Thuringian pop singer. “Everything is going a little slower now,” explains the “Jungenliebe” interpreter, who is combative and says: “I will not just surrender to the disease.”

She does not yet know how her Parkinson’s disease – which is a chronic disease of the central nervous system – will develop. It is assumed that the disease was triggered, among other things, by the restoration of her ex-husband’s old sabers and swords and the consequent stress on her brain with heavy metals, according to Ute Freudenberg. But their fans don’t have to do without car junk tickets. “I have prepared copies with me,” assures Freudenberg, who wants to continue giving concerts despite the diagnosis.

Ross Antony pays tribute to his father

It was the worst day of his life: pop singer Ross Antony, 47, had to say goodbye to his beloved father Denis Catterall on February 18, 2017. The then 77-year-old lost the long battle with Parkinson’s and cancer just two days after his birthday. A world collapsed for his son Ross Antony. The “The Masked Singer” participant has been going through life without his father for five years. For his birthday, the musician dedicated a touching commemorative post to what was once the most important man in his life.

Alongside a collage depicting a father and son at different stages of their lives, he captioned the heartbreaking words: “Happy Birthday Dad… We love and miss you so much… You’re easy to remember, I do it every day,” says the 47-year-old and emphasizes: “Missing you is the heartache that never goes away.”

Marie Reim: Which stranger is kissing her here?

Romantic surprise for all hit fans: singer Marie Reim, 22, shows herself to be in love on Instagram! In keeping with Valentine’s Day, the 22-year-old made her new love official – even with an intimate kissing picture. Now the musician is upping the ante again. For a black and white photo in which her boyfriend kisses her tenderly, the young woman writes: “Everything is much more than perfect with us”. She adorns the recording with a black heart.

The photo shows how happy Marie Reim is. She beams teasingly at the camera. Just a few days ago, the daughter of Michelle, 50, and Matthias Reim, 64, posted a photo on her Instagram story that fans already suspected that she was in a new relationship. On this, the musician turtled with the unknown admirer and showed himself in love while cuddling. The question remains whether her new love served as the musical inspiration for Marie’s new single, which will be released on Friday, February 18, 2022.

Anna-Maria Zimmermann reports from the hospital

“I’m back in the game … ok, not really yet, but that’ll be fine,” writes pop singer Anna-Maria Zimmermann, 33, about a worrying photo in a hospital shirt. She had to have an operation, as revealed by the mother of two small children in another Instagram story.

Luckily, Anna-Maria was able to leave the hospital quite quickly, because she goes on to explain: “I’m back home now. Because so many asked: I had an umbilical hernia operation. Actually nothing wild [sic].” Unfortunately, the former DSDS candidate “didn’t tolerate the anesthetic so well for the first time”. The tearful smiley smile at the end of the text at least suggests that the hit star should be better by now. We wish you a speedy recovery.

Oops! Giovanni Zarella exposed Howard Carpendale on his TV show

Giovanni Zarrella, 43, and Howard Carpendale, 76, are the new musical dream duo in the hit sky. Of course, they performed their joint hit “Call me an” – a cover version of Ronan Keating’s hit song “Life is a Rollercoaster” – in Giovanni Zarrelle’s big evening show on February 12, 2022. After that, the artists still had a little time for a chat, but with it the host got himself into a bit of trouble.

He introduced his aspiring dialogue with Howard Carpendale somewhat unhappily. “You’re a bit older than me and your age… that at your age people are still trying to correct… I think it’s really remarkable that you’re still watching your performances and still thinking, ‘What can I do somewhere else?'” the interpreter on “Howie’s” age and afterwards wanted to know what there was to correct at all.

But the full professional as ever, the 76-year-old didn’t let the allusion to his age upset him and answered with a laugh: “First of all, I have to prepare myself for my next life!” In addition, a three-hour show is not just a series of songs. “I’m a bit old school when it comes to things like that,” Carpendale revealed, emphasizing that he shouldn’t be expected to do acrobatics. He smiled: “But talking to people, giving them goosebumps and sometimes tears – that’s all part of a long concert, and I really try to think through every second.”
