Vanessa Mai’s first relationship ended with a lot of heartbreak because her boyfriend at the time cheated on her.
Vanessa Mai, 28, also knows lovesickness! One can hardly believe this fact with the pop singer, because she has had a happy relationship with her husband Andreas Feber for several years. The two came together in 2013, followed by the wedding in 2017. But before Vanessa met her husband, the 28-year-old experienced the dark side of love: her first boyfriend cheated on her.
Vanessa Mai: “I thought life couldn’t go on”
She and her boyfriend at the time got together when they were 14 and were then a couple for two or three years, the “Leichter” interpreter recalls in an interview with “t-online” and adds why their first relationship broke up: “At that age we had different ideas about life. School is slowly over, you develop further. Unfortunately, cheating was also an issue … I had to experience that.” This first heartbreak was terrible for her, she admitted: “I thought life couldn’t go on. Of course, somewhere you know that there will be better times again. But you don’t want to admit that.”
And – does Vanessa have a tip for heartache? “That is something that I refer to everything: if I can’t change something, then I don’t want to dwell on it,” is her answer. In her opinion, you have to go through bad phases anyway and there are always valleys in life – but that’s good! “You may not realize that in the moment, but it makes you grow,” she adds.
