In July 2022, the Parookaville electronics festival will take place for the sixth time. The organizers have now announced the first artists.

When Parookaville, Germany’s largest electronic music festival, takes place from July 22 to 24, 2022, the grounds of Weeze Airport in North Rhine-Westphalia will be transformed into a Mecca for fans of hot electronic beats. The organizers have now named the first big names that will be on the stages for the sixth edition. Also there: the “Godfathers of Rave” Scooter (“How Much Is The Fish?”) And the Dutch world star Armin van Buuren (44, “In And Out Of Love”).

The techno and EDM band around front man HP Baxxter (57), which has sold almost 30 million records so far, will heat up the audience as the headliner at Bill’s Factory. On the main stage, Yellow Claw (“Love & War”) will take over the job as headliner, while the Australian FISHER (35) will take on the Desert Valley Stage as the main act.

A special highlight is likely to be the appearance of DJ Armin van Buuren, who is considered one of the most influential trance artists of the last decades and a pioneer of the global success of electronic music. The Dutchman will also be headlining the main stage at Parookaville.

Purple Disco Machine and Alle Farben are also included

Further acts that have already been confirmed are the Dresden DJ and producer Purple Disco Machine (41, “Hypnotized”), the Berlin DJ Alle Farben (36, “Drown”), the Australian EDM sister duo NERVO (“You ‘ re Gonna Love Again “), Tujamo (33,” Delirious “) and record producer Neelix (46,” Come Close “).

By hosting the electronics festival, which was founded in 2015, the organizers want to “finally celebrate madness, love and pure bliss” again. Throughout the week, they want more acts every day on the official social media channels and the Parookaville website announce until on Friday (December 17th) a total of eighteen of the more than 300 artists should be determined. The following weeks will continue according to a similar scheme.

Organizers hope that the number of infections and vaccinations will decrease in the summer

Parookaville took place for the last time in 2019, when almost 210,000 visitors streamed in front of the live stages on the three days of the event. After the corona-related cancellation, the mini replacement event “Live from the City” took place on the festival date in July 2020 as a hybrid version with 200 visitors on site and millions of streaming viewers around the world.

In 2022, however, the celebration in Weeze will take place again on a very large scale. “This year it has been shown in particular that the number of infections is falling sharply in the summer,” explains Bernd Dicks, co-founder of Parookaville. “Together with the increasing vaccination and convalescence quota,” he “and many other major organizers assume that it is very likely that festivals of a known size will be feasible next summer.” In addition to the big electro event, the smaller festival “San Hejmo” is also planned for August 2022.
