Screamed for help – Man (81) slipped & fell into freezing inn

A pensioner slipped on a snow-covered ramp in Kramsach (Tyrol) on Thursday afternoon and fell into the Inn. Lying in the freezing cold water, he could no longer move. Walkers, however, heard the cries for help.

On Thursday at around 4:15 p.m., an 81-year-old Austrian citizen fell in the area of ​​the “Innspitz” (Brandenbergerache/Inn confluence) in Kramsach in the area of ​​a snow-covered and slippery ramp and fell into the Inn. Passers-by heard screams at his cries for help two walkers (62 and 53) became aware of the man and were able to save him from the water. He was about a meter from the shore lying on his back in knee-deep water and apparently could not free himself from this situation. After the first aid, the man was brought to the BKH Kufstein by the rescue team. He was responsive but severely hypothermic.
