Shortly after the crime, the 18-year-old Syrian living in the Neunkirchen district and the 16-year-old from the Mattersburg district were arrested. In the meantime, they have been released from pre-trial detention against milder means. It is now clear that the brass knuckles secured near the crime scene can be attributed to the younger man based on the DNA traces secured.
