Two unknown perpetrators demanded that a 49-year-old hand over cash in downtown Graz on Saturday night. Before that, however, the perpetrators hit the victim in the face, causing him to fall to the ground.
The incident happened shortly after midnight near Glacic Street. According to the victim, two males he did not know approached him and hit him several times in the face with their fists, causing him to fall to the ground. The perpetrators then asked him to give them his money. The perpetrators reached into the victim’s trouser pocket and took out the purse along with the cash and various non-cash means of payment. The perpetrators then fled in the direction of Jakominiplatz. The victim sustained multiple injuries as a result of being hit in the face. He went to medical treatment on his own. Description of the perpetrators: According to the victim, the perpetrators are two males of foreign origin and a strong accent (possibly Turkish). Both people had short black hair and were about 1.80 m tall. Search for perpetrators Several patrols have so far searched for the perpetrators without any results. The crime department has now taken over the investigation. The Graz city police command is asking for information from the population at 059-133-650.
