Secateurs are part of the standard equipment of every hobby gardener. The four most interesting models from the test, including a price tip, are shown here. In the video we show you a dangerous plant species that you should pay particular attention to this year.
Every hobby gardener should have good pruning shears in their repertoire, because they are used frequently. Whether for pruning flowers, rose bushes etc. or for chopping branches, the cutting tool always provides a remedy.
There are two types of pruning shears: anvil and bypass shears. The anvil shears are suitable for dry and hard branches, but a model with a bypass mechanism is more suitable for green waste. A visual difference can be seen at a glance: Because the anvil scissors only have one blade, in contrast to the bypass scissors with two sharp blades. You will also feel a clear difference when using it. The model with an anvil mechanism requires much less effort, making it ideal for cutting dry, hard wood. For the filigree cut, however, you should use the bypass scissors.
