During the ceremony of Game Awards 2023, SEGA had a big surprise for the players. The Japanese studio hasn’t really presented a specific game, but it has revealed its plans for the future, which should delight nostalgic fans. Because SEGA will revive its most cult franchises.
After having been able to breathe new life into Sonic the Hedgehog, SEGA will tackle Crazy Taxi, Golden Ax, Jet Set Radio, Shinobi And Streets of Rage ! Very different licenses and very popular with players, some have not been entitled to a new opus for far too long. In recent years, Sonic the Hedgehog has broken new ground for SEGA, bringing the franchise back to life and reaching new audiences in ways we’ve only dreamed of in the past.
Today’s announcement is just the beginning of our project. Our ambition will above all be to create superb games with memorable characters and worlds. We hope fans of all ages will look forward to our future as we release these projects in the years to come.
SEGA not only wants delight fans of the time but also seduce a new audience, an ambitious but tempting project! For the moment, however, we must make do with a trailer.
