A serial thief arrested in his crimes. This Tuesday, December 27, the Seine-et-Marne gendarmerie announced on Twitter that it had arrested a young man on December 21. It is suspected of having committed 71 acts of theft or attempted between November 28 and December 19.
The facts happened “in Île-de-France and Oise, during eight nocturnal journeys, mainly in underground car parks of residences“specifies the gendarmerie, which adds that about fifty victims would be involved and that the total damage would be estimated at 55,000 euros. “It remains under evaluation, not to mention the impossibility of using their car for families”also indicate the gendarmes.
The alleged thief will be tried next February
The suspect was arrested on December 21. 11 days earlier, the gendarmes had noted eleven acts of theft inside vehicles in an underground car park in Dammartin-en-Goële. “Four cars were also degraded according to the same operation mode at Plessis-Belleville”, underlines the gendarmerie of Seine-et-Marne on Twitter. Placed under a warrant, the young man will be tried on February 8.
