PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–Tensions over semiconductor supplies in the automotive industry are unlikely to see a significant improvement before the end of 2023, Patrick Koller, the supplier’s general manager, warned on Wednesday. Faurecia.

“I don’t believe that the situation will significantly improve before the end of next year,” the official told the group’s general shareholders’ meeting.

Patrick Koller is currently seeing a slight improvement, but this is not “massive”, due to the increase in demand. The leader pointed out that the sector was producing more electric cars and plug-in hybrids “which use on average twice the number of semiconductors of traditional cars”.
