Who made it to the final of this year’s jungle camp? Two campers had to say goodbye in the semifinals.

On day 16, the semi-finals took place on Saturday evening (February 3rd) in the RTL jungle camp (also on RTL+). Lucy Diakovska (47), Mike Heiter (31), Fabio Knez (30), Leyla Lahouar (27) and Twenty4Tim (23) had the chance to make it to the final, but two of them failed shortly before the finish. Before the decision was made, there were the latest (and final?) developments in the love confusion surrounding Mike and Leyla and a popular jungle test that caused a surprise.

Real interest or just a camp distraction?

For Leyla, Mike remains a mystery. Fabio also made it clear to her that the “closed mussel” was not easy to understand. He doesn’t know him well privately, but he thinks that Mike doesn’t play games and won’t drop Leyla like a hot potato after the show. The fellow camper should “not worry like that”. But the reality TV actress finds it difficult to stop her brooding. Is she just his caregiver? Is he spending time with her out of boredom or out of genuine interest? She simply couldn’t assess the “boy”, she explained on the jungle phone.

After all, the two of them cuddled together on the lounger afterwards. But the supposed happiness in love was disrupted, Lucy was dissatisfied with Mike’s team leader qualities. “There is still wood to be picked up,” she noted. The wood on the campfire was enough, Mike noted. But Lucy didn’t let herself be deterred and got a little louder: “That’s not unnecessary. You’re the team boss. You don’t need to complain now. That’s really not asking much.” The fellow camper reluctantly helped and then experienced a rather uncomfortable night next to Leyla. “The proximity was nice, but the beds are not made for two people.” The kiss Leyla wanted didn’t come either.

The past jungle camp days have left their mark. Many of the campers not only feel weak and lacking in energy, they also look back on their time at camp. Mike in particular notices that the battery is empty and thinks: “What would it have been like if Kim hadn’t been there.” If he could then have shown a different zest for life, he could have been a fun, happy, cheerful Mike without arguments and drama. The fact that in survival mode he still had to clarify things with his ex-flame Kim Virginia (28), who had already left, “where there was no need for clarification,” cost the candidate energy. That’s why maybe he should never date anyone from reality TV again, he shared his thoughts. He would “never be in the mood for such a situation again.”

“I just want to be Mike”

For Leyla’s sake, Fabio wanted to continue to probe him and act as a matchmaker. Mike didn’t like the fact that Fabio played “Date Doctor” at all. Being reduced to “dating stuff” annoys the “woman-ridden” reality star. “I just want to be Mike. Without any connection to a woman,” he emphasized on the jungle phone. He explained to Fabio that hygiene and the circumstances meant that he did not attack Leyla and that he did not feel physical contact “at all”.

In the conversation with Leyla he also became clear and explained: “We get along well, but that’s it for now.” Your attitudes are great, but he sees everything in a relaxed manner. “I can’t deal with that at the moment. I’m annoyed with myself,” said Leyla, frustrated by Mike’s statements on the jungle phone. “I see something in men who see nothing in me. Thank you for nothing,” she then let her tears flow. She misses a hug from her mother now.

The campers had one last show of strength ahead of them in a special water fight: the classic jungle test “Creek of the Stars” returned to the semi-finals. In the team challenge, Lucy, Leyla, Mike, Fabio and Tim faced the stormy game, in which heavy rain and large balls prevented them from holding on to their positions on the field with large yellow stars. They fought their way forward one after the other, with Lucy ultimately having to move forward into the most difficult position. The team then had to hold out for another four minutes, which they mastered brilliantly. The test was taken for the seventh time and celebrities have never been as “stuck” as they were this time. Presenter Sonja Zietlow (55) praised the strong performance with five stars.

The jungle camp finalists 2024

But the harmonious group constellation doesn’t make it to the final. Two campers had to say goodbye in the semifinals. In the end, the decision was between Leyla and Mike.

Lucy was named as the first finalist, followed by Twenty4Tim and Leyla. Fabio came fourth, Mike took fifth place. A singer, a social media star and a reality TV actress are fighting for the jungle crown on Sunday.
