As part of the VIPER mission, scheduled to launch in 2024, NASA is offering to send your name to the Moon. It will leave at the same time as the exploration robot responsible for studying the South Pole of the Earth’s satellite.
There will be people on the Moon soon. Without even talking about the future human colony planned for 2040 at the latest, NASA allows you to participate in the VIPER exploration mission. No need to order an electric field space suit, it’s not about getting you off the ground unfortunately. The idea is that your name is sent to the Earth’s satellite at the same time as the VIPER crawler. The rover is the first of its kind for the US space agency.

The region is partly plunged into permanent darkness due to not being reached by the sun’s rays. Scientists hope to findfrozen water notably. “VIPER will be the first rover to measure the location and concentration of frozen water and other resources. These resources could potentially be harnessed to support human exploration on the Moon, Mars – and beyond!”, summarizes NASA.
