Serena Williams: who is her husband Alexis Ohanian?


After a year off the grass, Serena Williams is back for the Wimbledon tournament. The opportunity to look into her private life and in particular her husband, Alexis Ohanian.

For more than a year, Serena Williams had disappeared from the tennis courts. Tuesday, June 14, 2022, she nevertheless caused the surprise by announcing his comeback, during the Wimbledon tournament which is held from June 20 to July 10. For this competition, the American tennis player can count on Alexis Ohanian, her husband, to support her.

The couple who welcomed little Alexis Olympia on September 1, 2017 before getting married on November 16 of the same year seems to live the perfect love. Indeed, the family appears regularly on Instagram, in simple moments of life. And while Alexis Ohanian is known to be Serena Williams’ husband, he also has build their own notoriety over the years.

Alexis Ohanian wants to promote internet freedom and fight racism

Graduated in 2005 from the University of Virginia, Alexis Ohanian is an entrepreneur Armenian-American. Very talented, he quickly launches into the web and founds the community website Reddit with Steve Huffman. Later, he decides to sell it while remaining at the head of the board of directors. After that, Alexis Ohanian will create Initialized Capitals, an investment fund intended to support start-ups.

Serena Williams’ husband is an ambitious man who wants promote internet freedom and support online piracy. He participated in demonstrations against laws aimed at strengthening the fight against piracy and published a book on the subject. He obtains such influence that he is named “internet mayorby Forbes in 2012. Alexis Ohanian also wants fight racism. In 2020, after the death of George Floyd, he decides to leave the board of directors of Reddit and asks to be replaced by a black person. A symbolic gesture to show support for the African-American community.
