The rest after the ad

Everyone knows the famous Charlotte and Lulu, Serge Gainsbourg’s children. But even today, few people know that the French singer had another girl and another boy a few years earlier. Their name ? Natacha, born in 1964, and Paul, in 1968.

And if their name doesn’t mean anything to you, it’s because their mother, Françoise-Antoinette Pancrazzi, known as Béatrice, sought to keep them away from public life, unlike Charlotte and Lulu, who have always been the target of the paparazzi. Moreover, on the day of Gainsbourg’s funeral, all eyes were on the singer’s last two children. Today, Natacha, 59, and Paul, 56, have chosen to move away from their in-laws, as revealed by journalists from Paris Match.

Very little connection with Jane Birkin

Since the death of their mother in 2014, the brother and sister have been very discreet. Paul, who is a big collector of vintage cars, lives between Paris and the Oise, while Natacha settled in Eure, after selling her former modeling agency.

In the columns of Paris Matchwe learn that the two brothers and sisters refused any contact with their father’s second wife, Jane Birkin, as did Charlotte and Lulu: “They never came to family reunions, no one ever came across them.” Moreover, on February 3, neither Natacha nor Paul attended the last tribute concert to Jane Birkin, who died on July 16, 2023.

Some time before her disappearance, Jane Birkin had confided in her complicated relationship with her daughter-in-law and son-in-law: “There were attempts to meet, desires on both sides, but life made it happen as it should have.”

Natacha and Paul keep the reins

Although they have chosen to move away from their in-laws, Natacha and Paul continue to manage the company Melody Nelson Publishing, along with their half-brother and sister Charlotte and Lulu, and Lou Doillon and Roman de Kermadec. This company, which exploits their late father’s catalog, represents, to this day, a significant source of income.

Natacha and Paul, however, sold their respective shares of 5 bis rue de Verneuil to Charlotte Gainsbourg, that is to say their father’s private mansion, now transformed into a cultural institution dedicated to the singer’s career, the Maison Gainsbourg, which is currently a hit.
