Seriously injured – woman (53) crashed into the wall of boards while night tobogganing

Serious tobogganing accident on Wednesday evening in Sölden in Tyrol! A 53-year-old German apparently crashed into a board wall during an evasive maneuver with a toboggan. The woman was seriously injured.

Shortly before 8.45 p.m., the holidaymaker drove down the Gaislachkogel toboggan run in Sölden alone on a rental toboggan. “In a marked area for slow driving, she allegedly avoided a child who had fallen on the toboggan run and crashed into a wall of boards that had been installed as fall protection and had been approved by the authorities,” the police said. After first aid, the 53-year-old suffered significant injuries on the left ankle. After the first aid was provided by the piste rescue service, the woman was taken to the local doctor in Sölden for further treatment.
