JENINE, West Bank (Reuters) – Israeli forces carried out a raid in the West Bank in the early hours of Wednesday, killing two Palestinians, the Palestinian Wafa news agency reported, bringing the death toll in the West Bank to five. enclave over the past few hours.
Yousef Nimer, injured in the raid, reports that Israeli forces began shooting at people sitting outside a Jenin hospital as they finished Suhoor, the last meal before sunrise during Ramadan .
“I said, look, something is coming towards us.” We ran away, then a sniper started shooting at us. Some crawled, others ran away. Those who fled were injured and those who crawled were saved,” explains Yousef Nimer.

Israeli police also said that an armed security guard had shot and “neutralized” the suspect in a stabbing attack on a checkpoint located between Jerusalem and Bethlehem, in the West Bank.
The condition of the suspect, a 15-year-old Palestinian according to police, remains uncertain. The Israeli ambulance service said two guards were taken to hospital after suffering minor stab wounds.
Israeli forces also shot dead a 13-year-old Palestinian from a refugee camp on the outskirts of Jerusalem overnight Tuesday and Wednesday, and killed two other Palestinians at a checkpoint, Israeli police said.
Police said the boy was shot after shooting fireworks at an observation post.
Israel has intensified its raids in the West Bank since October 7, killing at least 358 people there, according to a United Nations count.
