As if hardly time had passed: Carrie and Mr. Big wake up in the first set photos of the “SATC” offshoot “And Just Like That …” “Memories” …

Filming of “And Just Like That …”, the follow-up to the cult series “Sex and the City” (1998-2004) has been going on in New York since June 2021. Pictures of the leading actresses Sarah Jessica Parker (56), Kristin Davis (56) and Cynthia Nixon (55) have already reached the public. Now you can see the first photos of Parker with Chris Noth (66), who plays Mr. Big, the great love of Parker’s protagonist Carrie Bradshaw.

On “Sex and the City”, New York columnist Carrie Bradshaw and businessman John James Preston, aka Mr. Big, were one of the most famous on-off couples in series history before the two finally married in 2008 in the theatrical continuation. In “Sex and the City 2” (2010) they were still a married couple, despite some discrepancies.

“And Just Like that …”: Cast and Story

The new series from the “Sex and the City” universe takes place eleven years after the last movie about New York friends Carrie Bradshaw, Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis) and Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon). The sex-hungry Samantha Jones, who was part of the gang in the series and the films, is missing this time. Your actress Kim Cattrall (64) is not part of the cast.

Chris Noth was initially skeptical about the new series, he said in one thing Interview with “Yahoo Finance“That Mr. Big was actually told. But the producers were able to convince him. Now he can be seen in the pictures from the set in a classic dark suit.

As “Deadline” reported “And Just Like That …” is about the joys and turmoil of friendship between women in their fifties. The late sequel is intended to shed light on typical phenomena of the 2020s, the time after #MeToo, shaped by new (social) media. Carrie Bradshaw no longer writes a column but runs a podcast. The corona pandemic should also be addressed.

“And Just Like That …” will consist of ten episodes, each episode lasting 30 minutes. It should start at the end of 2021 at HBO Max.
