Sex Education: a flagship actress of the series announces her surprise departure

Definitely, the departures are linked in Sex Education. Already, last April, Simone Ashley, who plays Olivia in the series, announced that she was leaving the adventure to focus on her role as Kate Sharma in the Bridgerton series. And now another actress has just announced that she will not be returning for the fourth season. This July 5, at the microphone of Capital EXTRA radio, Patricia Allison, who plays Ola in Sex Education, dropped the bomb on the airwaves. The one who plays Otis’ ex said: “I loved being in Sex Education and enjoyed playing Ola so much, but sadly I won’t be joining the team for season four“before explaining the reasons:”I’m really sorry to have to tell you this, but I’m just gonna do other things. Other opportunities presented themselves to me.” Indeed, since June 10, Patricia Allison plays in the play A Doll’s House: Part 2, in London. A commitment that would have been difficult to combine with the filming of the fourth season of Sex Education, which should start this summer. As for the release date, however, nothing official.

Sex Education: when will the fourth season be released?

As a reminder, the third season of the series was released on Netflix in January 2021. A few months later, its creator, Laurie Nunn, announced: “We have already made progress on writing this season four. I can’t wait to see how the public will react to these new plots. Unfortunately, it won’t be for a long time…“ It will therefore be necessary to be patient before finding Otis and his troupe, now deprived of two elements.
