Children spend a lot of time with online contacts, especially in lockdown. A TV experiment shows how badly they are sexually molested in the process.

When face-to-face contacts are severely restricted in lockdown, the Internet is a sort of surrogate medium for most of us – especially children and teenagers. But many parents have no idea how big the problem of sexual harassment on the Internet has become, and what disgusting questions, pictures and comments even the most cautious children are exposed to.

"Hello! Do you have a breast?"

For the experiment, adult acting students slipped into the role of a normal child in front of the camera, moving on the Internet – not on dating or even porn websites, but normal pages that thousands of children visit every day. Purposeful care was taken to avoid any impression that this was about seeking contact or flirting – and yet the decoys were immediately harassed in the most unpleasant way. The results of this test shocked even the journalists, who were prepared for a lot – and now hope that politics will address the big problem.

The TV experiment "Attack on our children" will be broadcast on March 8th at 8:15 pm on RTL.
