Sharon Farrell has died at the age of 82. In her career, the US actress played, among other things, in a famous soap opera.
Sharon Farrell (1940-2023) is dead. The US actress died of natural causes on May 15 at the age of 82 in an Orange County hospital, as did her son Chance Boyer confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter. The versatile actress made her feature film debut in 1959’s ‘Kiss Her Goodbye’ and has starred alongside many film greats throughout her career.
From horror films to soap operas
Born Sharon Forsmoe in Sioux City, Iowa in 1940, the actress first joined the American Ballet Company and moved to New York, where she acted and modeled. After her film debut, she took on a role alongside Steve McQueen (1930-1980) in the comedy “The Crook” in 1969, and in 1974 she was seen in the horror film “The Cradle of Evil”. In 1983 she stood in front of the camera alongside Chuck Norris (83) for the action film “McQuade, der Wolf”. Her films also include “The Long Death of Stuntman Cameron” (1980), “The Comet” (1984) and “Can’t Buy Me Love” (1987).
From the early 1960s she took on a few TV guest roles and was seen in recurring roles on the series “Saints and Sinners” and “Hawaii Five-O”. She also took on the role of Florence “Flo” Webster Adams on the CBS soap opera “Shadows of Desire” from 1991 to 1999.
