Was Sharon Stone asked to have sex with William Baldwin on the set of the thriller ‘Sliver’? In a post, Baldwin fires back sharply.
These allegations are serious: Was Hollywood mega-star Sharon Stone (66) asked to have sex with co-star William Baldwin (61) on the set of the thriller “Sliver” in 1993? That’s what the “Basic Instinct” star claims according to “Variety” magazine in a podcast. The “Sliver” producer Robert Evans, who died in 2019, suggested that she become intimate with Baldwin in order to achieve “better chemistry on screen” between the two of them. An affair between the two would “save the film.”
Things weren’t going well on the set of “Sliver.”
It’s 1993, a year after Stone’s sensational Hollywood blockbuster “Basic Instinct.” Stone gained world fame through the cult thriller – also through her interrogation scene with Michael Douglas (79), in which she lasciviously crosses her legs. In consultation with director Paul Verhoeven (85), she allegedly did not wear any underwear. “Sliver” was supposed to build on this mega success. Stone plays a book editor who moves into an exclusive apartment building in New York City and discovers that the residents have dark secrets. According to the script, an affair should develop between her and another resident, played by William Baldwin. But things aren’t going well between the two.

There is a crisis meeting between her and producer Robert Evans: “He runs around his office with sunglasses on and explains to me that he slept with Ava Gardner and I should sleep with Billy Baldwin. Because if I sleep with Billy Baldwin, Billy would become Baldwin’s Performance will improve,” Stone recalls of her conversation with Evans. “And we needed Billy to get better in the movie because that was the problem. If I could sleep with Billy then we would have good chemistry on screen, and if I just had sex with him then that would be it Save the film,” said Stone in the latest episode of “The Louis Theroux Podcast.” Amazing: Stone blames himself partly for the messy situation: “The real problem in the film was me because I was so uptight and not like a real actress who could just have sex with him and make things right again. The successful director mentioned above, Robert Evans, died in 2019 at the age of 89. He can no longer comment on the allegations. Quite the opposite of William Baldwin. Via X (formerly Twitter) He made a provocative response to Stone’s allegations on Tuesday: “I’m not sure why Sharon Stone is still talking about me all these years later? Is she still in love with me or is she still after all these years “hurt because I rejected her advances?”

And Baldwin continues his hate comment: “The day after the test shoot, I met her on the flight back to New York. At that time she said to her friend Janice Dickinson about me: ‘He’s going to fall in love with me so much that he “I’ve got so much dirt on her it would make her head spin, but I kept quiet. The story of the meeting with Bob Evans where I begged him to tell me “To allow me to choreograph the final sex scene so I wouldn’t have to kiss Sharon is an absolute legend. Maybe I should write a book and tell the many, many disturbing, perverted and unprofessional stories about Sharon? That could be fun.”
