After nearly 40 years of silence, the actress Basic Instinct shared a shocking story that raises questions about sexual harassment in the film industry, during an interview with the famous American podcast Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly RipaWednesday November 8, 2023. At the dawn of her film career, Sharon Stone, aged barely 20, managed to secure a meeting with one of the senior managers at Sony studios. During this interview, she remembers a relaxed environment. Dressed in a Ralph Lauren jacket, denim skirt and cowboy boots, she felt confident. However, the interview reportedly took a troubling turn when the powerful Hollywood boss began paying her exaggerated compliments about her appearance.

Although the actress does not reveal the identity of the Sony Pictures boss, research suggests the studio was run in 1987 by co-presidents Peter Guber and Jon Peters, reports The Parisian. In her autobiography published in 2021, Sharon Stone had already spoken about the attacks she suffered from her own grandfather during her youth.
