Sharp deterioration in industrial production in the euro zone

(Boursier.com) — Sharp decline in industrial production in the euro zone in January. According to Eurostat estimates, production, adjusted for seasonal variations, fell by 3.2% in the first month of the year after increasing by 1.6% in December. The consensus expected a drop limited to 1.8%. Year-on-year, production decreased by 6.7% compared to -3% consensus.
