The circumstances are still vague. The life of a Quebec nutritionist turned brutally arrestedon July 15, 2022, near Plessisville, a city located in central Quebec, reports The Journal of Montreal. Aged 29, the young woman was followed by more than 26,000 followers on Instagram and 33,000 people on Facebook. She had made a name for herself by helping her community eat differently. But the nutrition influencer is now to absent subscribers.

“Today it is up to me to have the difficult task of announcing his death to you”, announced his companion on Facebook the evening of the tragedy. Then he went on to give the reason for this sudden disappearance : “On returning from a bike ride we were hit head-on by a car. Cynthia died of her injuries on the way to the hospital.” After thanking “people who have followed Cynthia over the years”the young man posted a selfie taken during the bike ride. “The last picture Cynthia took – a picture of us happy on the walk”he wrote at the end of his upsetting message.

The influencer’s companion: “I heard the sound of the impact”

The accident has happened around 8:30 p.m., specifies the daily which collected the testimony of his spouse, seriously injured. “I heard the sound of the impact, felt pain in my lower back and saw the car and my spouse pass to my left”, did he declare. A friend of the influencer, interviewed by Le Journal de Montréal, told her paid tribute : “She was a visionary and she was one of the first nutritionists in Quebec to make YouTube videos. For our profession, it has really always been an inspiration”.
