Accusations of violence against women continue to embarrass left-wing parties. After the rebellious deputy Adrien Quatennens, who confessed to domestic violence on Sunday, heads are once again turning to the national secretary of Europe Ecology-The Greens Julien Bayou. “She attempted suicide”
The deputy and finalist in the environmental primary, invited Monday on France 5, reported having received at her home an accuser from the national secretary of EELV. “I received at home for a very long time an ex-companion of Julien Bayou, I think that behaviors are likely to break the moral health of women”, replied Sandrine Rousseau in this program devoted in parties to the domestic violence of the deputy LFI Adrian Quatennens.
“They are obviously several, I only heard one testimony. A large part of the back-to-school meeting of environmentalists devoted to Bayou
On July 7, the ex-companion of Julien Bayou had seized the Internal Commission of Europe Ecology-the Greens against his national secretary. Julien Bayou then assured the Figaro that he would be questioned by an internal committee of the party “as soon as possible on what in no way constitutes sexist or sexual violence or inappropriate behavior towards anyone”.
“Unfortunately, this is a story that ends in pain, and a rupture that comes with barely veiled threats against me and a form of instrumentalization that I can only deplore,” added the deputy. He had then evoked “a resentment that she does not hide since she clearly wrote to me, three days after having seized the internal commission of EELV: ‘Worry. I will come back and in force. (… ) The fall will be painful.'”

The environmental group in the National Assembly had to devote a large part of its back-to-school meeting behind closed doors, Tuesday noon, to discuss the case of Julien Bayou, no less than its co-president. “The investigation and sanction unit against sexual and gender-based violence was seized this summer and is doing its job,” EELV number 2 and deputy Sandra Regol told AFP. “Among environmentalists, we avoid no questions,” she added to stand out from the Insoumis.
The manager argued that Julien Bayou was already observing a period of withdrawal pending the conclusions of the internal unit. The national secretary nevertheless delivered the back-to-school speech and then held a press briefing at the party’s summer days at the end of August in Grenoble. Clémentine Autain underlined the limits of “total transparency” decided by Sandrine Rousseau: “I don’t know if (the potential victim) wants all of France to know that she has attempted suicide”.
Invited this Tuesday morning on BFMTV, the boss of the PCF Fabien Roussel reacted to the revelations of Sandrine Rousseau: “Today we are asked to us, we are asked to the public, to be the prosecutors of these cases, we are asked it is up to us, party leaders, business leaders, union leaders, to be the prosecutors and to judge and I think that it is not for us to do it, it is for justice to do it, and quickly,” he asked.
