As early as last September, while the war in Ukraine was still raging, Frogware had advanced on a release in February 2023 for Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened. The remake of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes: Night of the Sacrifices saw its development progress well despite the ongoing conflict, but the kyiv-based developers were unable to keep their schedule.
As you will have noticed, the month of February is well advanced and no date has been given. The team has indeed gone through difficult times over the past five months, and although it has been able to continue its work, it will need a few more weeks to finalize it: it is now planning a launch around the end of March or April 2023, so expect to know the release date soon, which should be set around a month before the big day.

While the development of the game has always been difficult since April 2022 due to the war, the last 5 months since October 2022 have been extremely difficult for our team.
As you may know, initially we were aiming to release our game between February and early March. Unfortunately, the relentless attacks on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine forced us to work around the continual blackouts and redo all production planning. Due to the effects of the ongoing war in Ukraine, we need a few more weeks to complete Sherlock Holmes The Awakened. We are forced to move the game’s release date to the end of March/April 2023.
We’ve created a video showing how we’re preparing for release, our current situation in Kyiv, and some new gameplay footage captured on PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
We really tried to stick to the scheduled release window, but the almost daily power outages, in addition to the missile attacks that occur every 10 days or so, meant that we had to reschedule everything. It also means that the game itself has also been affected, not just the schedule. But we will do our best and push as much as possible. Once we feel we’re maybe a month away from release, we’ll be able to announce our exact release date.
