SHIP CARRYING RUSSIAN GAS LANDS IN FRANCE AFTER BEING TURNED BACK FROM UK

LONDON (Reuters) – A ship carrying Russian gas arrived at a port in Brittany in France on Saturday after British dockworkers refused to offload it in protest at Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The Boris Vilkitsky docked at the port of Montoir-de-Bretagne.

Greenpeace said in a statement that some of its members went to the port to protest the arrival of the boat.

According to the British daily The Guardian, the ship was heading for the Isle of Grain, in the south-east of England, with a cargo of liquefied natural gas for Centrica, the owner of British Gas.
